Claudia N. Johnson, B.F.A., Healing Touch Practitioner, REIKI III Practitioner/Teacher, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Master Practitioner Neuro-linguistic Programming, Certified in Massage Therapy, is the Director/Founder of Healing Energy Arts Center.

Claudia Johnson began to study healing in 1985 with her first REIKI training. She continued with certifications in clinical hypnosis in 1986, neuro-linguistic programming in 1988, and advanced NLP practitioner certification in 1989. She trained in NLP with one of the co-creators of the technique, John Grinder. In 1999 she became certified as a REIKI III Master Teacher. From 1985 to the present, she has continued to further her education in energy work through intensive trainings with the Rev. Rosalyn Bruyere at the Healing Light Center Church in Sierra Madre, CA, in addition to studying with various other notable subtle-energy instructors such as Emilie Conrad and Carolyn Myss. In March 2001, Claudia became a Healing Touch Practitioner. She is a member of Healing Touch International., and a volunteer provider of yoga instruction and laying-on-of-hands healing at PATHWAYS, a health crisis resource center in Minneapolis. She has been a guest instructor of energy anatomy at the Massage School of Ridgewater College.

Claudia has been a holistic energy medicine practitioner for over 20 years and is currently practicing at Healing Energy Arts Center in Minneapolis where she uses a variety of healing modalities from venerable traditions. Claudia offers customized treatments that integrate one or all the techniques in her background. She is an instructor/speaker on energy healing, consciousness and intuitive development, yoga and dance.

MISSION STATEMENT

HEAC is dedicated to healing people one person at a time with laying-on-of-hands healing. We also provide educational classes in energy healing, energy anatomy, cardio-salsa-yoga, and intuitive and consciousness development. As we heal ourselves and begin to live more fun, fulfilled lives, we help others heal as well.

• What is Energy Healing?

Almost everyone has seen a martial artist break a stack of boards. It’s amazing. Only the top board is touched yet the energy moves all the way through to the ground, breaking each board. Using the same principle of sending energy past the fingertips with a very different intention of healing an energy healer sends energy softly, yet powerfully into the body of a person to heal them. Sometimes techniques are used that interact with the human energy field and do not require the practitioner to physically touch the client. Other techniques may require the practitioner to gently pl ace their hands on the body in order to facilitate the flow of energy.

• What does Energy Healing feel like?

When your foot falls asleep, initially you don’t notice anything. The circulation of the blood has been cut off, yet usually you are unaware until you move or feel sensation. When the circulation returns and the blood rushes back into previously blocked areas, you could feel a variety of things, like: tingling, numbness, warmth, aching, tickling, itching, pulsing. In the same way, an area of your body could have an energy block that you may be unaware of until you exercise, stretch, fully wake up, or receive a treatment from an energy healer. Energy healing treatment, usually done with the client lying on a massage table, fully clothed, involves the practitioner gently touching the client for the purpose of helping to heal any weak areas and fill the whole body with energy. The body will heal itself if it has enough energy.
